“A truly lovely place”

Five star review on January 26, 2013 at TripAdvisor.com:  Friendly, relaxed but efficient, superb food, and very child friendly. Our 2 year old spent her time walking up and down the many steps and slopes, in between collecting leaves and having fun in the various natural hot spring tubs.

Five star review on January 26, 2013 at TripAdvisor.com:  We come for the hot pools. The duel pools (one hot, one cool) is one of my favorite places I know of in the world. This could be very well be the best constructed sulphur pool on Dominica. Its like my dream backyard.

The waterfall with adjacent hot and cool pools is a stunning place to spend some time. The restaurant is top-notch and the staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Five star review on September 12, 2012 at TripAdvisor.com:  The Papillote is an incredibly relaxing place. The staff couldn’t be more helpful.  The food is simple but excellent. The rooms are clean. There are natural hot spring pools which are wonderful to relax in (with a rum punch) after a day of hiking. The gardens are world class. Can’t say enough good about this resort.

“Full immersion in Nature’s Island”

The location is perfect – an easy walk to the amazing Trafalgar Falls and an easy drive to many rain forest excursions. Yet a day relaxing at the resort should be part of your itinerary too – soaking in multiple on-resort natural hot spring pools and a refreshing cool pool under their waterfall…

Five star review on April 15, 2012 at TripAdvisor.com:  Everything about Papillote makes you want to drop your shoulders and relax. The hot sulphur and cold baths in the garden are very therapeutic and the staff know just how to treat you. Old world courtesy at its very best.

Five star review on April 14, 2012 at TripAdvisor.com:  The grounds are designed to showcase the island’s natural assets: mineral springs, waterfalls, a large variety of plants and flowers which attract several species of birds, insects and lizards, all waiting to give you a show. The people at Papillote are friendly and informative; Marcel’s garden tour helped us understand a bit about the flora and fauna around us, which, in the rainforest, can be overwhelming. There are wonderful places to hike, so be sure to come prepared.

Five star review on December 14, 2011 at TripAdvisor.com: The staff was excellent, from reception, to housekeeping, to the waiters and waitresses. Everyone was really friendly and willing to help you out with any questions you had. Watch out for George’s rum punches though, he doesn’t mess around!

It was absolutely fabulous… The location is gorgeous. You’ll be surrounded by lush, beautiful forest and gardens, and enjoy fresh cooking each day. There are more day hikes than we had time to do. Each one is great. The entire property is open-air, with hummingbirds EVERYWHERE.

This is what you find at Papillote: waterfalls, hot and cold pools, rainforest, an amazing well kept tropical flower garden spread all over the property, relaxing sounds, and smells. A knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Marcel, that shows you all of this with details and a smile.  Closeness to some of the best hikes in the island and finally a warm and welcoming owner Anne… It was a genuine pleasure to stay at Papillote. Stayed August 2011, traveled solo.
